Madrid is the biggest city and also the capital of Spain. It is the home of Spanish Royal family and at the same time, the seat of the Spanish Government and also the legislative (Senate and Lower House) and judiciary. It is one of the modern metropolitan cities in Europe and both economic and industrial centre of Spain, with the population of about 3.165 million people, is also the biggest city in Spain.
Madrid has a lot of interesting attractions that offer both culture and amusement. It also hosts major international regulators of Spanish. Madrid is located in the centre of the Iberian Peninsula, and is surrounded by mountains and natural parks. Although it is located in the centre of the country, it has traditionally been the hub between different areas of Spain connecting various cities of Spain and other cities across the Europe, by different means of transportation system. Madrid's climate is one of the healthiest in Europe.
The Headquarters of the World Tourism Organization (WTO) which is owned by the United Nations Organization (UN), the SEGIB, the Organization of Ibero-American States (OEI) and the Public Interest Oversight Board (PIOB) are all in Madrid.
